The Ithaca Journal reports:
ALBANY — The Paterson administration released records Wednesday that showed top aide Charles O’Byrne has paid back nearly $300,000 in overdue state and federal taxes, claiming he was delinquent for five years because he suffered from “non-filer syndrome.”
Tax payers hand over hard earned ‘dollars’ to support the $178,500 salary of an unproductive member of the political class. Being a member of the political class Mr. O’Bryne figures he need not pay ‘his fair share’. The poor guy suffers from depression so the tax payers should kick in a little extra to send him for a little R&R with pay, of course.
